I brought my 2009 BMW 335i convertible in for service. It has 220K KM's and was running extremely rough during cold morning starts (sputtering, backfires, missing etc.). It was so bad that I would not have been able to keep it running if it wasn't a standard - after 3-5 minutes it was fine. I had managed to put these 220K easy km's on the car with very little engine maintenance (just, brakes, tires, filters and oil changes) and was running 100% original parts except for recall items, so we were basically starting from scratch. Long story short, Ryan and team did a very thorough assessment and a cold start diagnostic of the car. We determined the main cause of the issue was my original fuel injectors were leaking overnight and I had massive carbon build up in my intake manifold. There were also several other maintenance items that could be done. Since the car is high mileage, but I still love it and it is in good shape, we decided to put together a work order that would fit my budget. Ryan got creative and together we decided on the highest priority items first. We found some good (version 12) injectors that were less than a year old, did a walnut blast and did some regular maintenance items and managed to stay within my budget. The car is running amazing and it feels like it did when I bought it at 70K KM's. :-) I would absolutely recommend Nixon Automotive, and Ryan and his team. They were amazing to work with and I am extremely happy that I found them. I'll be bringing my car back to them for any major work. I love that they work with older cars and have a passion for keeping BMW's on the road as long as they can. Thanks again Ryan! Steve
