Was looking at purchasing a car remotely and had a PPI done at Nixon Automotive. It was a very expensive PPI, the most I’ve ever paid, and I confused high price for good quality. It’s basically photographs with little or no knowledgeable insight. Among items that weren’t noted was a ripped front bumper hanging down with a missing spoiler; one door a different colour than the rest of the car; water in the rear footwell from leaking door panels. Items that were noted mostly say “further investigation needed” e.g “oil pan sweating” turns out to be a $1,000+ repair. Definitely would have not bought the car had I known these issues and the potential cost to fix them. Suggest that others considering a PPI set their expectations appropriately.
